Discover the wonders of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most visited national park and a haven for nature lovers. Established in 1952 and named in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, the park is renowned for its incredible biodiversity—featuring open savannahs, crater lakes, wetlands, and the iconic Kazinga Channel. Wildlife highlights include tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector, chimpanzees in Kalinzu Forest, large herds of elephants and buffalo, abundant birdlife, and scenic views of the Rwenzori Mountains.
This short safari is ideal for travelers looking to experience a high concentration of wildlife, a relaxing boat cruise, and unique primate encounters—all in one compact trip.
Your journey starts with an early morning departure from Kabale or Lake Bunyonyi, passing through beautiful terraced hills and savannah landscapes. Upon arrival at the park, check into your lodge and set out for an afternoon game drive through the Kasenyi plains. Expect to see elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, and a variety of birds.
